New year, new product releases! We’re excited to bring you a fresh wave of updates and features designed to elevate your Mural experience. From AI-powered content editing to enhanced organizational tools and Jira updates, these releases are here to help you achieve your goals with ease and efficiency.
Leverage AI to quickly edit and polish your mural content
Previously available via the AI chat functionality, we’ve made it easier to find and select the following options for your content by adding them to the ‘Explore with AI’ button:
- Fix grammar and spelling - Leverage AI to identify and correct grammar or spelling mistakes.
- Rewrite - Leverage AI to rewrite content on your mural to be more concise, more descriptive, or more professional.
- Translate - Leverage AI to quickly translate content on your mural to a different language, including Spanish, Japanese, French, and more. Learn more.
Organize your content with nested bullets and lists
This highly requested update is now live! Now, all users can organize their content into visual hierarchies with nested bullets and numbered lists. While this currently only works for text boxes and shapes, support for sticky notes is coming soon.

Improve your enterprise’s collaboration with the new Jira Data Center integration
Last summer, we made major enhancements to our widely-used Jira Cloud integration with the introduction of two-way sync, allowing users to make updates to their Jira issues in Mural and send those changes to Jira (or vice-versa).
We are excited to bring two-way sync functionality to our newest integration with Jira Data Center, a modern on-prem Jira deployment used by some of our largest enterprise customers.
This integration is meant to replace our integration with Jira Server. Atlassian has discontinued support for Jira Server as of February 2024. Although Mural does not currently plan to deprecate our existing Jira Server integration, it is no longer being enhanced

And some other small but mighty updates
- Our mobile web browser version now supports the Timer, Create murals, and viewing, adding, and replying to comments.
- The Legacy Billing Page has been updated to exclude guest count from the active members count. Additionally, the Workspace Report Status filters out inactive workspaces and includes the new statuses: Active, Inactive, Expired, and Removed.
- The Workspace Membership report has been enhanced with new data points to provide greater visibility into member status and licenses across workspaces. The updated report now includes details like Collaborator Name, License, Last Access Date, Deactivation/Reactivation events, and associated collaborator information. These changes help users gain more comprehensive insights without the need to stitch together multiple reports.
