For this edition of our product updates, we’ll reflect on some of the most meaningful updates to Mural’s Enterprise plan in 2023, with a focus on the company dashboard. Let’s dive in, shall we?

Building Mural for scale

Managing how every employee in your company is granted access to the software that powers your business is no easy feat.

Especially when…

  • operating at enterprise scale;
  • managing loads and loads of applications (which is pretty common today);
  • and for the fact that each application has its own unique admin interface.

But this is only part of the challenge when it comes to managing the entire identity and access management (IAM) lifecycle for every user and application in your business.

As part of our effort to build a next-generation visual work platform, we’ve invested heavily in enhancing our offering to support these critical functions and aid you in administering your company’s use of Mural at scale — and with ease.

My, how we’ve grown

We’ve long since supported the likes of SCIM provisioning, SSO, and more, but in early 2022 we announced a slew of enhancements to usher in a more complete Mural identity and access management solution — most notably including integrations with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and Okta.

In 2023, we’ve sweetened the pot…

We suspect you’ll agree that one of the most critical pieces of the Mural identity and access management lifecycle is the ability to provision access to Mural and ensure secure authentication into our platform. The new ‘Identity and access’ page in the company dashboard allows you to set up automatic provisioning via SCIM, configure SSO, and manage session settings all in one place.

Need to centrally manage all your Mural members? Look no further than the ‘Members’ page in the company dashboard. There, you can get visibility into all your members, understand their status, and perform administrative and bulk actions to manage your company’s use of Mural.

Lastly, we’ve expanded our support for SCIM to include SCIM groups. Now you can easily provision, deprovision, and manage user group access and permission settings for your Mural workspaces all within the company dashboard.

As you can see, we’ve come a long way — and we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re just as committed as ever to supporting the needs of our largest customers, and improving how they administer the use of Mural. There are plenty more exciting things to come as we enter this New Year, so stand by for more updates!
